Russian Federation – Türkiye Natural Gas Main Transmission Line

Russian Federation-Türkiye Natural Gas Pipeline follows Malkoçlar entry point to Hamitabat, Ambarlı, İstanbul, İzmit, Bursa, Eskişehir route to reach Ankara. The pipeline is 842 km long. There are compressor stations along the pipeline at Kırklareli, Ambarlı, Pendik, Bursa and Eskişehir and fiscal metering station at Malkoçlar.

Eastern Anatolia Natural Gas Main Transmission Line

With this project, the transportation of the natural gas to be received from the sources in the east, notably İran, to Türkiye was targeted. The Eastern Anatolian Natural Gas Main Transmission Line, which is approximately 1,491 km in length, with a diameter changing between 48" and 16", starts from Doğubayazıt and extends to Ankara via Erzurum, Sivas and Kayseri, and a branch of it reaches Seydişehir through Kayseri and Konya.

Samsun Ankara Natural Gas Main Transmission Line

Also known as Blue Stream Project, it starts from Samsun in Turkish territory and reaches out to Ankara through Amasya, Çorum and Kırıkkale. The construction of the line was completed and as of 2003 the system was commissioned and the gas shipment from Russia started.

Türkiye Greece Natural Gas Pipeline

Türkiye-Greece Natural Gas Pipeline Project is 36" in diameter and 296 km in length, 211 km of which is in Türkiye and 85 km of which is in Greece, and it ends in Komotini as it enters into Greece at İpsala border point. The natural gas export from Türkiye to Greece over the aforementioned pipeline started in 2007.

BakuTbilisi-Erzurum Natural Gas Pipeline (BTE)

Phase-I of Azerbaijan-Türkiye Natural Gas Pipeline which starts at Posof district of Kars province and which is 113 km in length and 42” in diameter was completed on 30 December 2006 and Ardahan province was also supplied with natural gas within the scope of this project.

Azerbaijan – Türkiye Natural Gas Pipeline Phase II, which starts at the end of the 42” Phase I of Azerbaijan-Türkiye natural gas pipeline project, is approximately 113 km in length and 42” in diameter and reaches towards Erzurum-Horasan direction. The concerned section was completed on 09 March 2007 and Kars province was supplied with natural gas.

BakuTbilisi -Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline

The first loading of a tanker from the pipeline which enables the crude oil produced in Azerbaijan to reach Ceyhan Terminal and then to Türkiye and the various parts of the world through tankers was made in 2006. An affiliate of our company, BOTAŞ International Limited (BIL), operates the pipeline that has a transportation capacity of 50 million tons/year.

Dörtyol Floating LNG Storage and Regasification Terminal (FSRU)

Developed in line with our goal of ensuring supply and system security, Dörtyol FSRU Terminal has a storage capacity of 263,000 m³ of liquefied natural gas and a maximum daily re-gasification capacity of 28 million m³.

Kuzey Marmara Natural Gas Storage Expansion Project

At the end of the capacity expansion works carried out at Silivri Natural Gas Storage Facility, located in Silivri district of Istanbul province, at present, a storage capacity of 4.6 billion Sm3 has been reached.

Saros FSRU Terminal and Land Connection Line Project

Saros FSRU Terminal and Land Connection Line Project Construction Work was realized by BOTAŞ for the design and construction of the facility located in Edirne province, Keşan district, Sazlıdere village, Gulf of Saros for the docking of FSRUs which, with floating systems, carry out the storage and regasification of liquefied natural gas supplied by LNG carrying ships and 17 km-long onshore pipeline connection with a capacity of 28 million m3/day natural gas transmission to the national grid.

Saros FSRU Project has added a significant support to the natural gas transmission system and a new entry point in the Thrace section of the Marmara Region, where our country's natural gas-based energy production and industrial facilities are concentrated and residential natural gas consumption is the highest. With the completion of the construction of the Saros FSRU Project, our country has become active in the Balkans and the global natural gas trade and has got one step closer to its goal of becoming a gas transmission and trade center.

Construction works started on October 16, 2020. The Project was completed and the facility was put into operation as of December 2022.

TANAP (Trans Anatolian Pipeline Project)

It was planned to transport 6 billion m3/year of the natural gas from Shah Deniz field of Azerbaijan to Türkiye and 10 billion m3/year to Europe.

The works carried out for the connection of the TANAP Line to the BOTAŞ transmission network were completed and natural gas flow to our country started on 30 June 2018. Besides, TANAP Inauguration Ceremony for European Connection was held on November 30, 2019, and the supply of natural gas to Europe has started as of 2020.

TurkStream Project

With the project, two lines, one of which is connected to the national transmission network system of our country and the other serving to transport the transit gas from our country to Europe, and each with a capacity of 15.75 billion m3, were built.

The off-shore section, starting from the city of Anapa in Russia and ending in the town of Kıyıköy in Kırklareli province, consists of two lines with a length of approximately 930 km and a diameter of 32". The construction of the pipelines crossing Black Sea was completed on 19 November 2018. The onshore section of the pipelines that will supply gas to our country and Europe were completed in 2019 and as of 1 January 2020, the gas flow to our country has started.

Compressor Stations

9 Compressor Stations were built within the scope of the investments made for the construction of compressor stations, one of the most important elements of the transmission system in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of natural gas at the required pressure and quantity.
