The FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) is a ship capable of delivering a storage unit with LNG storage and a high-pressure delivery of gasified LNG to the main transmission line with gasification equipment to gasify the stored LNG. There are currently 29 FSRU ships in 14 countries.

The natural gas demand of our country is close to 50 billion m3 annually. In this context, new supply sources should be provided as pipe gas or LNG in addition to the existing supply source inputs to our country. In this context, Dörtyol FSRU Project was initiated.

In order to ensure natural gas supply security and increase resource diversity, studies are underway for the implementation of the Dörtyol FSRU project by BOTAŞ. Engineering studies of the FSRU Project, which will serve in Dörtyol district of Hatay province, have been completed. The FSRU project, which is planned to be commissioned in November 2017, continues at full speed.
